I have reached the age where I believe have something valuable to say. As I like to tell anyone who will listen: "There is no substitute for experience."

Furthermore, I am one who prides himself on "doing the homework". I do not say things lightly. I take the time to do the research that should lie behind any opinion. Even though I tend to have left-wing views, I do not endorse the current approach of "everything we say is right and everything you say is wrong". I prefer to dig a little deeper before I say what I have to say.

Having said that, my biggest enemy is stupidity. The rationale for this, is that their are not many truly malicious people, however there are legions who will amplify their malice through blind allegiance or laziness. This is why stupidity is truly dangerous.

I offer a small antidote to stupidity by doing the work and presenting reasoned opinions.
